Dion Research Technotes
Going through some of the Dion Research internal technical notes, I've noticed there are a few that could be shared with the public. They have to be first reviewed and in certain cases, IP addresses and UUIDs modified (as I do for all blog posts).
The first one I'm sharing is on configuring infiniband networking on Ubuntu 18 without netplan, using instead the familiar configuration used in the previous versions of the operating system, namely /etc/network/interfaces and ifupdown. Many people are still on Ubuntu 16 (configuration is the same) and many upgrade instead of doing a fresh install, while other still would rather user interfaces than netplan. This technical note should be useful in those scenarios.
